SGE Analytical Science has appointed Ian Ransley, PhD, as director of the mass spectrometry business unit.
SGE Analytical Science has appointed Ian Ransley, PhD, as director of the mass spectrometry business unit. According to the company, he joined the company two years ago as product manager for mass spectrometry, following many successful campaigns, including involvement in the MagneTof detector.
In a statement, Stephen Tomisich, the company’s managing director commented, "I am excited that Ian has taken on this position; he is well equipped to continue the strong growth shown by the ETP product line particularly as we look to broaden our reach in the industry."
As the new division head, Ransley will be overseeing the further development of the company’s ETP electron multiplier business.
A statement from the company describes how Ransley brings demonstrated experience in the field of mass spectrometry following a career including previous product management roles for mass spectrometry products with Shimadzu and Applied Biosystems.
