The deadline for submitting topic suggestions for Pittcon 2010’s conferee networking sessions is nearly here. For full consideration, topics must be received by 17 July 2009.
Conferee networking sessions are free to all registered attendees and provide an open forum to establish new alliances and lines of communication in a small, informal venue with an average of 15–18 participants in each session. These provide an environment where conferees come together to discuss topics of mutual interest or solve problems specific to certain instrumentation or procedures.
The networking sessions made their debut at Pittcon in 2007 with eight in total that included topics on analytical chemistry, forensics and research and development. In 2008, as a result of its overwhelming success, the sessions were expanded to 27 and new disciplines, such as environmental and LIMS were introduced to add variety and appeal to a broader audience. At Pittcon 2009, there were 35 sessions that included the most popular selections from previous years in addition to new topics in the area of biofuels and analytical chemistry.
Pittcon 2010 will be held at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando, Florida, USA. Visit www.pittcon.org for additional information and to submit a topic.
