Metrohm USA, the North American subsidiary of Swiss instrument manufacturer Metrohm AG, have pledged their support to the Feeding America organization. The scheme was set up to help more than 37 million Americans a year1 through a network of member food banks.
The company recently held a rather unique event for its employees to raise donations for the Feeding America Tampa Bay facility in Florida – a CEO car wash. CEO Michael Melingo and VPs Jeff Tompkins, Ev Bosque, and Derrick Rowe not only agreed to sponsor a car wash for two employees, they also volunteered to conduct the car wash themselves.
Michael Melingo, Metrohm CEO said: “Being an active part of the community and helping those that aren’t so fortunate is a big part of our business culture. We feel that we, as a business in the area, have an obligation to support local organizations that make it their mission to help others.”
