Wyatt Technology (Santa Barbara, California) announced that it will host its 20th annual International Light Scattering Colloquium on October 19–20, 2009, at the Four Seasons Biltmore Resort in Santa Barbara. The event will present an array of high profile speakers, including Nobel Prize winner Robert Grubbs (CalTech). The meeting is intended for both static and dynamic light scattering users. According to the company, the colloquium will provide its new and existing customers with the opportunity to discuss their light scattering experiences. The meeting will showcase the company’s DynaPro dynamic light scattering instruments, DAWN and miniDAWN classical light scattering instruments, Viscostar viscometry instruments, and Eclipse AFFF products. Poster sessions will be held throughout the two days. In conjunction with the light scattering colloquium, the company also will host an Eclipse FFF-MALS Focus Meeting on October 21, 2009, focusing on FFF separation of proteins, biopolymers, and liposome–virus particles. The FFF meeting will be a round-table discussion, with a presentation from an expert preceding general discussion for each topic.
