Thermo Fisher Scientific (Waltham, Massachusetts) has acquired the Analytical Technologies and Environment Instrumentation divisions of Chemito Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Mumbai, India). Chemito reportedly is India's largest supplier of analytical instrumentation for life sciences and environmental monitoring applications. Chemito manufactures analytical instruments for techniques such as gas chromatography, atomic absorption, and UV?vis spectroscopy. According to Thermo Fisher Scientific, the divisions have annual revenues of approximately $10 million and will be integrated into the company's Analytical Technologies Segment.
