Shimadzu Scientific Instruments recently finalized the purchase of a new two-story building at its headquarters in Columbia, Maryland. With this purchase, the company’s campus will comprise three separate properties.
The new building, which will be used by managerial and operational staff, reflects Shimadzu’s multiyear growth plan. The additional space provides accommodations for the company’s growing team and allows Shimadzu to relocate its mid-Atlantic regional office to its original place at the company’s headquarters. The original buildings will house extended and enhanced laboratory space, including the Innovation Center and the Applications Development Center, along with the marketing department, warehouse, and more.
With renovations currently under way, SSI plans to transition the workforce into the new building by the end of summer 2022.
