The company has been planning for and testing employee ownership models since its inception in 1985. As part of the transaction, Restek's Performance Coatings "RPC" division will become an independent company led by Paul Silvis and members of the RPC team.

High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) equipped with an ultraviolet detector set at 245 nm was used as the analytical technique.
