When Peak Scientific started manufacturing gas generators in 1997, we knew that there was a huge potential for our gas generation products, which include nitrogen generators for LC–MS as well as hydrogen, ultra high purity nitrogen, and zero air generators for GCs. 10 years later, we are still amazed by the rapid growth of the market not only for gas generator products but also for those instruments that require gas to analyze samples, such as LC–MS and GC.

This fast-moving market has enabled us to grow rapidly and soon made us realize that there was a necessity to operate worldwide. Our global operation has then enabled us to win the Queen's Award for Enterprise for three consecutive years of outstanding performance in the Export Markets in 2004.
Our big success, especially in North America, has prompted us to open a fully operational office in Massachusetts to further develop the North American Market and make Peak Scientific the "Industry's First Choice for Gas Generator Products."
Having achieved this aim with the help of major instrument manufacturers, we want to continue to establish our brand name and offer the best and most reliable products as well as service and support.
In the future, our market will continue to be primarily focused on the design, development, and manufacture of gas generators suitable to operate analytical instruments, in particular, LC–MS, and GC. People are now beginning to realize that gas generators can eliminate the health and safety hazards posed by gas cylinders and also provide you with a convenient and effective solution to your total gas requirements.
We are still very far away from market stagnation or market saturation, and with many new product developments planned here at Peak Scientific, we still see the market evolving.
Peak Scientific will continue their good work with instrument manufacturers and customers, and together, we will see the market continuing to flourish.

The Complexity of Oligonucleotide Separations
January 9th 2025Peter Pellegrinelli, Applications Specialist at Advanced Materials Technology (AMT) explains the complexity of oligonucleotide separations due to the unique chemical properties of these molecules. Issues such as varying length, sequence complexity, and hydrophilic-hydrophobic characteristics make efficient separations difficult. Separation scientists are addressing these challenges by modifying mobile phase compositions, using varying ion-pairing reagents, and exploring alternative separation modes like HILIC and ion-exchange chromatography. Due to these complexities, AMT has introduced the HALO OLIGO column, which offers high-resolution, fast separations through its innovative Fused-Core® technology and high pH stability. Alongside explaining the new column, Peter looks to the future of these separations and what is next to come.
Frontage Laboratories Streamlines their Product Lifecycle Management with NuGenesis™ LMS
January 9th 2025Frontage laboratories wanted to improve the efficiency and quality of their operations and invest in ways to streamline their workflows. They implemented Waters NuGenesis™ Lab Management System (LMS) to progress their digital transformation journey and combine synergistic data, workflow, and sample management capabilities to support the entire product lifecycle from discovery through manufacturing.
