Grinias spoke during the LCGC Award Symposium at Pittcon 2023 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he delivered a talk titled “Progress Towards a Capillary-Scale Parallel 2D-LC System.”
Grinias’s research background focuses on the fundamental development of liquid chromatography (LC) columns in capillaries and microfluidic devices. The Grinias laboratory also conducts research in understanding the physical processes beyond bed structure that impact column performance, which include extracolumn effects and frictional heating. The group’s work also applies LC and mass spectrometry (MS) instrumentation to solve analytical problems in neuroscience and molecular physiology.
