Phenomenex (California, USA) has been awarded the prize “Ethical Company 2013”. The prize was awarded at a ceremony at Bologna University (Bologna, Italy) in the presence of the Magnificent Dean and other local authorities.
The award was created by the C.S.A.P.S.A (Study Centre for Applied Psychological and Sociological Analysis) and AILeS (Association for Social and Working Inclusion). It is given annually to companies that welcome workers with physical or mental disabilities. Phenomenex was selected because of its continued support of the view that “all workers have skills to offer, paying particular attention to offering job opportunities in line with their professional profile.”
Alberto Albieri, the general manager of Phenomenex Italy, said: “I am proud of the behaviour and the sensitivity demonstrated by the company and by all of Phenomenex´s employees when dealing with such an important topic. Certainly, our efforts will continue in this direction. We are delighted by the fact that its commitment has been publicly acknowledged, and this recognition of the Italian team makes all Phenomenex branches worldwide proud.”
