Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced that they will be raising money and awareness for breast cancer research with the launch of special edition pink autosampler vial caps. The caps come in a range of 8 mm and 9 mm screw thread, as well as 11 mm snap cap options, with options for a variety of applications and according to the company, can be used in conjunction with any given autosampler.
Michele Slade, the company’s global product manager for vials and closures commented, “Supporting cancer research is an important global cause. The Thermo Scientific PINK cap programme will help to make an impact in the fight to end breast cancer.” The limited edition charity chromatography caps are the first in the industry with proceeds from their sale being donated to benefit breast cancer research.
According to the World Health Organization breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide, comprising 16% of all female cancers and early detection to improve breast cancer outcome and survival remains the cornerstone of breast cancer control.
