PerkinElmer (Waltham, Massachusetts) will become a distributor of purge-and-trap automated sample concentration systems from Teledyne Tekmar (Mason, Ohio) under terms of a reseller agreement. Purge-and-trap systems are used in concentrating analytes before they are introduced into a gas chromatography system and are specified in regulatory environmental applications such as the analysis of water, soils, and sludge. The agreement includes the resale of Teledyne’s purge-and-trap systems and associated consumables. As part of the agreement, PerkinElmer will be a global distributor of the equipment.
The Chromatographic Society 2025 Martin and Jubilee Award Winners
December 6th 2024The Chromatographic Society (ChromSoc) has announced the winners of the Martin Medal and the Silver Jubilee Medal for 2025. Professor Bogusław Buszewski of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland, has been awarded the prestigious Martin Medal, and the 2025 Silver Jubilee Medal has been awarded to Elia Psillakis of the Technical University of Crete in Greece.

The session included new approaches for analysing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), polychlorinated alkanes (PCAS), Mineral Oil Hydrocarbons (MOH), and short- and medium-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs and MCCPs).
