(VICI) has been the leading designer and manufacturer of standard and custom valves and fittings for precision analytical, biomedical, and biocompatible instrumentation. Our newest products include the C72 line of UHPLC valves, fittings that permit direct connection of 360 µm tubing, nickel clad PEEK and fused silica tubing, the Universal valve actuator, and the C52 platform HPLC injectors and selectors for OEM applications.

In the Americas, Valco markets products directly to end-users, to original equipment manufacturers (OEM), and through a small number of authorized dealers. Sales to international markets take place through a network of dealers and distributors, while most OEM sales in Europe and Asia are handled directly by our European office in Switzerland.
Major Products/Services
Valco produces a complete line of analytical valves — for sampling, sample injection, switching, stream selection, on/off, needle, and specialty. We specialize in zero-dead volume fittings and filters for analytical applications, and produce the well known pulsed discharge detectors (PDD). Our VICI Metronics division produces PEEK, FEP, PFA, and ETFE tubing, ambient temperature gas purifiers, ValcoBond™ GC capillary columns, and Dynacal™ gas calibration standards. The VICI Precision Sampling division manufactures analytical quality syringes, sampling probes, and standard and custom formed stainless and special alloy tubing. VICI AG (Valco International) produces the Jour line of HPLC fittings and lab safety products.
Facilities
With over 100 state of the art CNC machines, our valves, fittings, and detectors are manufactured to exacting tolerances at our facilities in Houston, Texas and Schenkon, Switzerland. VICI Metronics produces polymeric tubing and gas permeation devices at their new plant in scenic Poulsbo, Washington. VICI Precision Sampling is located in historic Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

AI and GenAI Applications to Help Optimize Purification and Yield of Antibodies From Plasma
October 31st 2024Deriving antibodies from plasma products involves several steps, typically starting from the collection of plasma and ending with the purification of the desired antibodies. These are: plasma collection; plasma pooling; fractionation; antibody purification; concentration and formulation; quality control; and packaging and storage. This process results in a purified antibody product that can be used for therapeutic purposes, diagnostic tests, or research. Each step is critical to ensure the safety, efficacy, and quality of the final product. Applications of AI/GenAI in many of these steps can significantly help in the optimization of purification and yield of the desired antibodies. Some specific use-cases are: selecting and optimizing plasma units for optimized plasma pooling; GenAI solution for enterprise search on internal knowledge portal; analysing and optimizing production batch profitability, inventory, yields; monitoring production batch key performance indicators for outlier identification; monitoring production equipment to predict maintenance events; and reducing quality control laboratory testing turnaround time.
