This Tuesday morning session will cover some new advances in ultra-high pressure liquid chromatography (UHPLC). The session will start at 8:30 a.m. and conclude around 10:00 a.m. The session will be chaired by Monika Dittmann of Agilent Technologies in Germany.
The first talk on the schedule is “Modeling of the Complete Chromatographic Process: From Analyte-Surface Interactions to Macroscale Transport Behavior.” Ulrich Tallarek of Philipps-Universität Marburg in Marburg, Germany will present this talk.
The second talk in this session will be given by James Grinias of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Grinias’s talk is titled “Hydrodynamic Chromatography for Reduced Particle Size Distribution in Silica- based Chromatographic Packing Materials.” Grinias was the recipient of the HPLC 2013 Csaba Horváth Young Scientist Award, which was presented at the conference last year in Amsterdam.
The next talk will be given by Frank Steiner of Thermo Fisher Scientific in Germering, Germany. Steiner’s talk is titled “Facts and Fictions About Temperature Control in UHPLC - Adiabatic Vs. Isothermal Operation or Trading Method Portability Against Ultimate Efficiency.”
The final talk in this session is titled “Exploring the Selectivity and Performance of a New Extended pH Range Stable Solid Core UHPLC/HPLC Column Family with SuperC18 and SuperPhenylHexyl Bonded Phases.” This talk will be given by Alan McKeown of Advanced Chromatography Technologies Ltd. in Aberdeen, UK.
After the session concludes, attendees are free to attend the Poster Session located in the Grand Salon and Grand Ballroom Exhibit halls. There are also several other sessions taking place throughout the day.
