Event Overview:
The webinar, Overcoming Impurity Challenges: The Importance of Ultrapure Water in Liquid Chromatography (LC), will explore the critical role of ultrapure water in enhancing the accuracy and reliability of LC analyses. It will cover various types of contamination that can affect LC performance and how these contaminants impact results. The session will highlight the advantages of using water purification systems, particularly the Sartorius Arium® systems, which provide high resistivity, low total organic carbon, and minimal bacterial content, ensuring optimal chromatographic results. Case studies will demonstrate the effectiveness of freshly produced vs bottled ultrapure water in different applications, such as CHO-cell mAb production, organic molecules, as well as PFAS analysis, showcasing Arium®’s ability to reduce various impurities and improve data quality. The webinar will also introduce the new Arium® Mini Extend, designed for labs with limited space, offering flexible water dispensing options and cost efficiency.

Multi-Step Preparative LC–MS Workflow for Peptide Purification
March 21st 2025This article introduces a multi-step preparative purification workflow for synthetic peptides using liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC–MS). The process involves optimizing separation conditions, scaling-up, fractionating, and confirming purity and recovery, using a single LC–MS system. High purity and recovery rates for synthetic peptides such as parathormone (PTH) are achieved. The method allows efficient purification and accurate confirmation of peptide synthesis and is suitable for handling complex preparative purification tasks.
