Increased laboratory efficiency with the TSQ 9610 GC-MS/MS in a food and environmental analytical laboratory

Utilizing GC-MS/MS to quantify low levels of PBDEs in matrix samples. Including an assessment of linearity and instrument detection limits (IDLs) for all compounds as well as an extended robustness study over n=100 injections of matrix samples to assess the reproducibility of the detection of trace levels of PDBEs.

In this study, the suitability of the TSQ 9610 triple quadrupole GC-MS/MS system was assessed for the analysis of more than 200 pesticides in black tea at trace concentrations supplemented with SPE cleanup. The linearity, accuracy, precision, limit of quantitation, and injection reproducibility of 20 selected analytes representative of the different pesticide classes in black tea matrix are demonstrated.

The benefits of the Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap Exploris™ GC mass spectrometer system for the analysis of trace level contaminants, such as pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and brominated flame retardants (BFRs) are showcased.

Abacavir and Lamivudine in combination are used with other medications to treat Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection. In this technical note, we report the separation of Lamivudine from its related chiral and diastereomeric impurities in Abacavir and Lamivudine tablets per the USP monograph. The allowable adjustments pertaining to gradient separations are highlighted together with the necessary calculations that are required for the adjusted method conditions to remain compliant with the original monograph.

The necessity to analyse drug products for nitrosamines and NDSRIs (Nitrosamine Drug Substance Related Impurities) is well documented. In this document we provide an overview of 7 of our most recent applications in this area, together with links to the relevant technical notes.
