Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 11am CEST | 10am BST Join us for this webcast to learn how automated, high-throughput MS analysis without any chromatographic separation can provide fast, sensitive, selective, and robust analysis of volatile compounds in polymers, packaging material and natural matrices at trace levels. Topics will cover high-throughput analysis of diverse industrial and natural samples by coupling headspace and thermal desorption to direct SIFT-MS.

Event Overview:
Selected ion flow tube mass spectrometry (SIFT-MS) combined with sample automation like headspace or thermal desorption highly accelerates and simplifies the analysis of VOC in packaging material, polymers and recyclates as well as in natural matrices like air, water and soil. The speed, repeatability and sensitivity achievable with automated SIFT-MS will be demonstrated for targets like formaldehyde, BTEX, residual monomers and odors like terpenes, aldehydes, organic acids, and reduced sulfurs.
The sample throughput is 5 – 50x higher than conventional GC/MS: chemically diverse VOC can be quantified in a single analysis down to the pptv level in seconds to minutes. The system is designed and engineered for use in commercial, industrial and research environments.
