This awards session will be presided by ASMS President Susan Richardson, in Hall A, from 4:45 pm to 5:30 pm. The session will open with the Biemann Medal Lecture, followed by presentation of the Research Awards and the PUI Research Award.
The 2022 Biemann Medal Recipient is Erin Baker, who is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at North Carolina State University and will give a lecture at 4:45 pm on her recent research work in the development and application of ion mobility spectrometry–mass spectrometry (IMS-MS) technologies and her extensive contribution to the mass spectrometry community through her key role in establishing the “Females in Mass Spectrometry (FeMS)” group.
The Biemann Medal is awarded to an individual early in his or her career in recognition of significant achievement in basic or applied mass spectrometry. The Biemann Medal was established by contributions from students, postdoctoral associates, and friends to honor Professor Klaus Biemann.
New Method Explored for the Detection of CECs in Crops Irrigated with Contaminated Water
April 30th 2025This new study presents a validated QuEChERS–LC-MS/MS method for detecting eight persistent, mobile, and toxic substances in escarole, tomatoes, and tomato leaves irrigated with contaminated water.
