PerkinElmer, Inc., (Waltham, Massachusetts) has entered into a resale arrangement with LEAP Technologies Inc. (Carrboro, North Carolina). According to the companies, this arrangement will enable LEAP Technologies Inc. to incorporate PerkinElmer’s proprietary ultra high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) technology into front-end automation systems for mass spectrometry within the United States and Canada. The combined offering is reportedly intended to enable LEAP’s biotechnology and pharmaceutical customers to derive additional insight into the data of their most demanding applications. In addition, PerkinElmer will be able to provide advanced automation solutions from LEAP Technologies into markets beyond its traditional customer base, including environmental, food safety, and forensics.
