LCGC (Chromatographyonline.com) has developed a pilot program with EARL (EARL2learn.com), the most extensive online library of interactive web-based learning material for analytical chemistry. The pilot, presented as CHROMacademy, will be offered to the LCGC community over the course of 10 weeks, with a new topic or learning module delivered each week. The modules will be announced each week via email and be presented on the Chromatographyonline.com homepage, along with links to past modules.
Topics range from beginner to expert level and include multimedia and interactive exercises to help users understand the material in each module. The training modules can be used for programmed learning, lab induction, and continuing professional development. Each module features 30 minute “Quick Bytes” and are certified by the Royal Society of Chemistry. Assessments are offered with certificates that users can keep with their training records.
“We are confident that this trial program with Earl will allow LCGC to do more of what we do best: deliver practical, unbiased technical information to our audience of chromatographers and analytical chemists,” said LCGC North America’s Editor-in-Chief David Walsh.

Next Generation Peak Fitting for Separations
December 11th 2024Separation scientists frequently encounter critical pairs that are difficult to separate in a complex mixture. To save time and expensive solvents, an effective alternative to conventional screening protocols or mathematical peak width reduction is called iterative curve fitting.
