Lab Innovations Conference Begins October 30th

The Lab Innovations 2024 conference is scheduled to take place at the NEC in Birmingham, United Kingdom (UK), from October 30–31, 2024. This event is the UK's largest annual exhibition dedicated to the laboratory industry, bringing together over 4,000 professionals from various sectors such as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, academia, and healthcare (1). Along with over 4,000 attendees, more than 200 suppliers will be in attendance (1). Some of the leading suppliers expected to be in attendance include Waters, Sartorius, IKA, Bronkhurst UK, and Veolia Water Technologies, along many others (2).

A new addition to the conference is the Quality Infrastructure Forum (QI Forum), which will focus on topics like laboratory accreditations, technical assessments, and the integration of AI in future laboratory work (3). The event will also host several free-to-attend lectures across four conference theatres, including sessions led by the Royal Society of Chemistry (1,3).

Sustainability is another major focus of the event, highlighted by the Sustainable Lab forum, which will explore practical strategies for creating more eco-friendly lab environments (1–3).

Another highlight of Lab Innovations is their Lab Awards, which are presented at the conference. It recognizes the triumphs and the achievements of individuals, laboratories, and suppliers over the past year (1).
