Dr. Heiko Behr has over 30 years of experience in chromatography and is currently the European Pharmaceutical Senior Business Development Manager at Phenomenex. His primary responsibilities are consulting with pharmaceutical scientists to determine the best implementation of new HPLC technologies. He also gives educational seminars about method development, troubleshooting, system optimizations and the like. In addition, he is responsible for European Pharmacopeia Projects at Phenomenex globally.
Prior to joining Phenomenex, Dr. Behr graduated with a diploma in chemistry at the University of Kassel and received his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry at the Technical University of Munich under the advisement of Professor Harun Parlar, with the main focus being chromatography theory and techniques. From 1993 to 1998, he was involved in teaching chromatography techniques to students at the University of Kassel in his function as a scientific assistant of the analytical chemistry department. Dr. Behr joined Phenomenex as a Technical Consultant in 1999. Since then, he has also been the Senior Product Specialist for HPLC columns in Germany/Austria andSales and Business Development Manager for European Distributors.
