Our continuing leadership in chromatography helps us create powerful solutions to increase productivity for the industries that shape the world.
Company Description
Our continuing leadership in chromatography helps us create powerful solutions to increase productivity for the industries that shape the world. Dedicated to perfection in chemical analysis, we empower scientists to quickly separate, isolate, and identify chemical components, from simple ions in water to the complex molecules in human tissue. The scope of Dionex technology consistently expands and evolves to meet our customer needs. From our watershed introduction of ion chromatography (IC) more than 30 years ago to our current breakthroughs in ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) and capillary IC, Dionex defines the leading edge of the chromatographic separation sciences.
Markets Served
Dionex products are used extensively in environmental analysis and by pharmaceutical and biosciences, chemical and petrochemical, food and beverage, power generation and electronics industries, and research and governmental institutions around the world. Dionex works extensively with the US EPA, ASTM, FDA, AOAC, ISO, DIN, and many other international standards organizations to develop methods for high quality analysis.
Major Products/Services
Dionex is a leader in chromatography with 30-plus years of research and innovation in IC, HPLC, and UHPLC systems. The IC offerings range from basic systems with patented chemical suppression to RFlC™ systems with electrolytic suppression and sample preparation. The RFIC systems, by providing Eluent Generation (RFIC-EG™) and Eluent Regeneration (RFIC-ER™), have redefined IC resulting in solutions that are more powerful, simpler to use, and provide reliable results. The HPLC offerings have been expanded by adding UHPLC capabilities to all of the award-winning UltiMate® 3000 systems. Our HPLC and UHPLC systems feature rapid separation liquid chromatography (RSLC) for high performance analysis; RSLCnano for high performance proteomics analysis; BioLC for biocompatible analysis of large biomolecules; and semipreparative and conventional HPLC and UHPLC applications, as well as an extensive range of detectors.
Both IC and LC product lines offer state-of-the-art performance with Chromeleon® software, the market-leading chromatography data system. The wide variety of LC, IC, and Bio columns meets any analytical application. For example, Acclaim® columns packed with reversed-phase, polar embedded phases, and specialty phases optimized for RSLC and HPLC; IC and RFIC columns for use with hydroxide and carbonate eluents; IonPac® polymeric columns for ion exchange, ion exclusion, and reversed-phase ion pairing and ion suppression; and a variety of columns for proteins, peptides, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, and more.
For sample preparation, the Accelerated Solvent Extraction (ASE® ) systems use elevated solvent temperature and pressures to provide accelerated extraction of solid and semisolid matrices, and the powerful AutoTrace® 280 SPE instrument automates solid-phase extraction with high reliability and precision.

AI and GenAI Applications to Help Optimize Purification and Yield of Antibodies From Plasma
October 31st 2024Deriving antibodies from plasma products involves several steps, typically starting from the collection of plasma and ending with the purification of the desired antibodies. These are: plasma collection; plasma pooling; fractionation; antibody purification; concentration and formulation; quality control; and packaging and storage. This process results in a purified antibody product that can be used for therapeutic purposes, diagnostic tests, or research. Each step is critical to ensure the safety, efficacy, and quality of the final product. Applications of AI/GenAI in many of these steps can significantly help in the optimization of purification and yield of the desired antibodies. Some specific use-cases are: selecting and optimizing plasma units for optimized plasma pooling; GenAI solution for enterprise search on internal knowledge portal; analysing and optimizing production batch profitability, inventory, yields; monitoring production batch key performance indicators for outlier identification; monitoring production equipment to predict maintenance events; and reducing quality control laboratory testing turnaround time.
